Toddler Department

Our Toddler Department is based within the back church hall, with it’s own entrance area and an outside enclosed pram park.

This is a large open plan room with an adjoining quiet room.

The toileting area is directly acessable from the play room, which enhances toilet training.

The room is registered to provide day care for up to 30 children aged from 2 – 3 years with a 1 to 5 staff ratio in place.

The play room has purpose built patricians to encourage small group play and there is a large carpet area for comfortable floor play and lino floor covering for messy play.

There is a wide range of resourses to meet the age and stage of the children.

An art/malleable area is available for the children to access as well as a physical area and a role play area.

The quiet room can be used for day time naps or for small group time.

There are main staff based within this department and a key worker system is in place to ensure continuity.

The play room has direct access to our Prep school which enhances positive transitions to our Ante Pre School department.

The building has ramp access to accommodate for prams/ buggy’s.

Directly behind our toddler department is a secure garden area.

This is an all weather surface which enables all children to access outdoor play whatever the weather conditions.

There is also a hard paving area, for the use of wheeled toys or mark making on the ground.
